Rock Sound Magazine - Research

The main background color of the magazine is a light blue color, over top of that is a picture of the band Fall Out Boy their name is over top of the picture of them. along the left side is articles that are featured inside the magazine and the bands that are featured in the magazine. Just below Fall Out Boy's name is a Rock Sound CD in red that has the word free on it. Along the top of the cover is the posters that are included inside the magazine. The contents page is a two page spread along the left side has a little blurb of a short article below that is some information on the band in the photos below that. The main photo in this two page spread is a picture of the band of All Time Low. On the right page is the title "All your Favorite Bands" then gives the names of the bands and the pages the articles that they are on. To the right of that is a circle with the words 26 new bands your need to hear. below this is the rest of the table of contents and the page numbers. All along the bottom of the pages is pictures of bands with blurbs of information next to some of them.

Project Selection-My Decision

The project I have chosen is the magazine project. I chose this portion of the project because I found that doing the magazine would be easier for me, seeing that I have writing experience from my previous English classes. Along with having photography experience from doing photo shoots with my friends. My project is going to be a music magazine with various photos of musicians playing during their performance. Along with some background on the artists in the photos. I will be working alone on this project. Some of the skills that I possess is my writing skills that I have gathered from my English classes, and the photography experience that I have gathered from my artsy friends showing me how to do various things with a camera and using those skills for other photo shoots.
