Photo Shoot January 27

Image
The photo shoot this past weekend went well. I got lots of photos.

Reflecting on feedback

The over all feed back I got was good, my peers seemed to like the idea of the magazine. Although I was told to add some color to my subheadings for the featured articles because the cover looks rather boring with just black and white colored text, also to try to find a more exciting font. So I plan to play around with the fonts and the colors to see what I get out of it. I was also told to justify my columns along with maybe add some borders to my photos and make them look more natural in the magazine.

conventions and social groups

My magazine is a music magazine that is targeting young adults and teenagers that listen to music such as pop punk, punk, metal, and heavy metal. My magazine is also targeting those who like to go to concerts. My magazine challenges conventions by using photos taken by their readers that was taken at concerts, hence the use of selfies and the pictures of people meeting band members. rather than using professionally taken photos of the artists which makes it harder to connect to the audience.

Mid term

My rough draft of my magazine with many photos taken at festivals and concerts within the last two years and within the recent months.

Photo shoots

The photos in this blog post are from warped tour 2016, the first photo is of the band set it off with the lead singer waving a flag in the air with the bands logo on it. While the second is a picture of me with the lead singer of the band state champs.

Photo shoots

These photos were taken at the self help festival on September 31st 2018. these are pictures of me with my favorite bands. These photos are just some options that I have to chose from when putting together my magazine.

scout locations

I had been scouting some locations for some of my photo shoots, but most of these photo shoots I had were already taken at previous concerts and festivals that I had gone to in previous years. Many of the photos that I took at these festivals were with my Iphone mostly because I didn't want to bring my camera and ruin it. as i was scouting locations I found a local concert in Jacksonville Florida so me and a friend go and take photos.

Schedule interviews and or questions

I am scheduling some interviews with a few of my close friends that are frequent concert goers. Doing this will help develop my main article and i will be asking questions like, What do you enjoy most in concerts? What was your very first concert? and who was the first artist you saw live and why? who is your favorite band live? What makes that band your favorite live?

Flat plan

Image
Here is my flat plan for my magazine, the reason I have so many ads is because in the other magazines I looked at similarly had just as many ads to help sell products for the bands and the supporting companies for those bands. The mini articles are interactive articles for the readers, to keep the audience engaged in the magazine.
